a very close fight imo.. this fight will definitely be going all 12 rounds and will be a battle of wits.. i have a feeling jmm is gonna' be the one puttin' pressure on casamayor, but they'll both gonna' be counter-punching the hell out of each other.. this would be crushing for jmm if he lost...

In my case, it's the other way around. I'm rooting for CASA but I'll pick JMM to win on points

I want to see JMM blowout Casa, and see what his excuse is.

Casa claims he never lost a fight.

Casa is ready to retire JMM :)

    Casamayor:
“I’m very excited for this great fight and I’m happy that Golden Boy gave me this opportunity. It is going to be a war between two legends but one of us will be finished after this and I know I’m going to retire Juan Manuel Marquez on September 13.”

    Marquez:
“This is the most important fight of my life because I’m putting my career on the line to go up in weight to fight Joel. He is the best at 135 and a very dangerous fighter. It’s a huge fight for me and I’m very excited to fight in front of all of my loyal fans in Las Vegas on Mexican Independence Day weekend.”

After both JMM and Casamayor produced a FOTY candidate this year, it's hardly going to be 'boring as hell'. But it shouldn't be on PPV, I agree... the following weekend is Jones-Calzaghe PPV anyway, and based on the Jones-Tito numbers, the audience will probably chose the LHW fight over this one...

But it's not going to be boring. Having Cambell-Guzman on the undercard would be the killer show, but that's not gonna happen...

I feel that JMM might be a tad bit to small to be effective at 135, but I will still be rooting for him.

    JMM via UD!

Casa won't find JMM's jaw like he did on Katsidis. Every punch Casa throws he'll get a receipt from JMM. :yep

Well, after watching PacMan destroy Diaz with welterweight power, I'd reconsider moving up in weight to chase Pacquiao if I were Marquez. Simply put: it's a fight he can't win anymore given the huge physical disadvantage. JMM did enough in many eyes to win the last bout, but who would pick Marquez at LW? Makes no sense, JMM is a natural FW, should return to FW and chase fighters like Vazquez, John or Gamboa.

In my opinion, this won't even be a competitive fight.

Joel Casamayor is a shot fighter, and that was evident in his awful display against Santa Cruz. He was losing his fight against Katsidis until he pulled out the knock out.

He is facing Juan Manuel Marquez, one of the best technicians in the sport today, who took Manny Pacquiao to 12 rounds twice. He beat him twice in my opinion, but on paper it says he drew one and lost one. However, Casamayor will have his head boxed off for 12 rounds unless the TKO comes sooner.

    JMM must win this.

Both are at their twilight and a loss will definitely/probably end their career.
