    Thank Pac?:huh

The recognition heading JMM's way right now, stems from the knowleadgeable boxing writers and fans knowing he is currently the best at 130 lbs and below.

With JMM, its not about hype, its about substance, and the educated know how to recognize that!:deal :bbb

Yes. He should thank Pac for filling up his bank account.

Chavez Jr. will be fighting next month, so he will most likely be available for the date in June in the undercard for Pacquiao-Diaz. If Arce's fight doesn't get pushed to June he will still fight at the end of May. So the undercard is pretty much all set with Chavez and thats a good chunk of ppv sales right there. :yep

    Divac,

A lot of mexicans wanted pac to see lose. like i said if in his next fight (if not with pac),the # of ppv is the same as the ones when he fought pac then he is indeed the # 1 mexican boxer for the ppv..

in the meantime ask yourself, WHERE WAS JMM standing in the PPV before he fought PAC?!!

If he his rating or he draws more PPV than morales and barrera you have a point to argue but if he was # 3 for the PPV prior to his pac fight?

this may lead to to something else... time will tell. just wait for the next fight. I maybe wrong or I maybe right after all..

    Divac,

Have you really EVER wondered how JMM fared in both the PPV and in the right attendance when he fought Rocky Juarez? and the other guys before he fought Pac?

and where is JMM now after fighting Pac?

THIS WILL GIVE YOU A CLUE why JMM is #1 right now!

Tell me why JMM-Pac outdrew any of Pac's fights with either MAB or Morales?????

Imo it did better because the fans knew it was a legit fight between two fighters who can still be called elite.

If MAB and Morales are better draws than JMM, why did they not have better PPV numbers when matched with Pac.

Having already schooled Pac, the casual, less than hardcore fan realized that JMM was legit and great to watch, when he displayed his skills vs MAB.
......that fight was kinda a passing of the torch (although JMM is older than MAB, but has more great boxing left than he does though)

Lets be honest here.....short of Pac fighting unrealistic fights against Hatton, Mayweather of DLH, where he has zero chance of winning.......Pac is not going to come anywhere close to putting up the PPV numbers he did with his rematch with JMM.

....that goes for JMM as well.

The honest truth is that both JMM and Pac need eachother to come anywhere close to topping 400k+ PPV ever again!

It takes two great fighters to put those types of numbers up......Pac did'nt do that when he fought MAB or Morales, and he certainly is'nt going to come anywhere close to that fighting anyone other than JMM at 135 lbs or below!

it sold well because it was a great match between two great fighters. i think pac is still the bigger draw. base that on jmm-mab and pac-mab sales (i still think that PAc versus fighter x will always draw bigger numbers that jmm versus the same fighter)

but still both of them deserve equal props for the great sales. they invested heavily by fighting their hearts out the first time and it paid off in their second fight.

Actually, isn't Yory Boy Campas no.1, because of his fight with De la Hoya?

PacMan-JMM III will do about 500.000...

But Marquez has to fight Casamayor, Campbell or Vazquez to keep his name in the fame. While Guzman, John, Guerrero, Valero or Santa Cruz are great fighters, they are not that well-known by the non-hardcore public.

JMM is total class by the way and deserves every cent he'll make in his last few fights... and he's ready to take ANOTHER fight vs. Pac for a much smaller purse than his rival... you gotta respect that!

Agreed, Pac is still the more recognized fighter, but not by a big long stretch.

Still not a Pac fan in sight who has been quoted as saying that JMM is a non-factor as a PPV draw......not a single one of them has yet to explained why the Pac fight with JMM outdrew any of his fights with either Morales or Pac.:yep

You nailed it UD, its because JMM is a great fighter fighting still within the best of the sport.

Quite naturally the JMM-Pac fight did better than the Morales and the MAB fights for Pac, because the people recognized that JMM was more of a threat than the other two!
