    your thread is dumb, you usually post good threads too but your honestly starting to sound like the ***** vs ******* type of guy.

    the matter of the fact is, no he doesnt rank above, beating a guy doesnt mean you can do what he acheives. Your telling people they dont know **** bout boxing when your probably similar guys like larry merchant who havnt even stepped into the boxing ring.

    castillo should have been #1 by your reasoning at the time before the rematch.

    I can see arguments for both sides. IMO you can leapfrog an opponent who bested you in the ring when your resume is clearly ahead, like Barrera-Jones or Ali-Norton. So the question becomes whether JMM's otherwise solid but historically unspectacular resume is good enough to justify a ranking over Pacquiao when considering he bested him head to head at least twice, one of those being the most definitive, even though Pac has a few key wins above JMM's best notwithstanding the win over Pac himself.
