I don't think so. Floyd was hitting him, but he wasn't hurting him, and those wild ass gorilla muggings Ortiz was giving him on the ropes were starting to bug the **** out of Floyd. I agree with JMM. The fight was starting to get good.

Still...I cant blame Mayweather. Ortiz deserved that smack in the mouth. Just a shame it ended the fight when i was enjoying it

 

He restarted the fight put them in the middle of the ring from neutral corners then stepped back and confirmed that the time keeper had started, which is his job, in that time Mayweather punches and KO's Ortiz, which is Ortiz's fault.

 

Totally agree with Marquez. And I say it again, Floyd is a disgrace. He could win that fight fair, but decided to do it like a coward.

 

He has his own fight to worry about. I mean he's still never won vs. Manny.

 

After a ref resumes a fight, he's not supposed to turn toe the timekeeper to instruct to start the clock.

The ref either does that before, or the timekeeper automatically starts it at seeing the fight has resumed.

What Cortez did was out of bounds. From what I've heard Ortiz has or is going to file a protest.

 

There was no honor or dignity in the way JMM made excuses after having had his ass handed to him by PBF...

 

You've been a fan long enough to know that a safety first fighter like Mayweather is'nt going to unleach his full venom until his prey has been fully softened.

Ortiz is'nt nearly as skilled as Marquez, and he does'nt have the same type of tooth that a Marquez has to ward off a KO.

Oritz has talent, but lets face it, he's not a sharp mind inside that ring.

If Cortez wasn't acting like the round had restarted, why would Ortiz?

Cortez talking to the timekeeper was the biggest indication for Ortiz that the fight had not been restarted.

 

Marquez wouldn't of done what Mayweather did no. But I still don't think Mayweather is in the wrong.

 

He started the fight an locked to confirm, the commission has said his actions were justified, now if you want to pull up the rule he broke feel free to do so.

Fact is once he signalled fight and stepped back the fight was on and everything that occured after was in the course of a fight where Floyd was in teh clear to resume the fight.

Doesn't matter, Cortez still restarted the fight and time was IN. These are the FACTS.

Ortiz has no one to blame but himself...

 

Floyd spanked his ass... But I really like Marquez, and pull for him. I just disagree with him here.
