Berto isn't particularly good, having black skin and good flashy hand speed but struggling with average fighters like Collazo isn't really an indicator of elite ability.

i don't condone arum's and roach's actions regarding jmm. but, i think the challenge pertains moreso on the size disparity. if jmm were to face pac, it would probably be at 147. so it's sort of a challenge that jmm needs to prove himself at this weight first before challenging pac. skillwise jmm is one of the best today, hands down. however, he has yet to prove to us that he can bang with the less skilled bigger guys 147 and up. skillwise, jmm is way above margo. i don't think jmm beats him though. jmm has been hurt by diaz and katsidis before. how does he hold up against the power of margo or berto at higher weights?

 

All the Andre Berto references are solely because he fills a stereotype, flashy black fighter, something Pacquiao hasn't fought, regardless of the fact that he isn't very good. I don't care what the thread is about, but where you took it was down a dubious line of thought involving fiction and Andre Berto.

Collazo is a tough skilled veteran, thats a nice spin on it, on the hand you downplay Margarito's ability whilst blowing Andre Berto's horn.

Your comparison there is stupid on a few levels, for one, theres a big difference between not "blowing through" a fighter, as in Mosley nearly winning every round of the fight against a gatekeeper, and Berto, losing the fight on a majority of scorecards in the fight community. So scrap the sweeping generalisations, its not a good look.

Secondly, whocares if it was his 24th fight? It was less than 2 years ago, and he has only had a couple of fights since then. I am not out to get Berto, i just dispute the idea that you can pump his nads, after beating Quintana and notching up a dubious win over gatekeeper Collazo, and on the otherhand down play a Jr MW Margarito as an opponent, who has an assortment of genuinely good performances to his name.

You can't post with sensationalist rubbish undertones and then play the denial card when it suits you. The fact that you address Berto as being particularly skilled as some sort of anti-Pacquiao opponent shows how poor your analysis is, learn to pick between the style and substance.

 

can't blame him really. probably wants a big payday before hanging up the gloves. plus i think he has too much pride and still wants to prove himself to the people. he works just as hard as the other greats in the sport today yet finds himself not earning nearly as lucrative as floyd or pac, despite proving himself time and again.

You pump capitals, exclamation marks and shitty novelty techniques throughout your post sensationalising your shitty point of view. You only present one side to the story, to further your shitty viewpoint. Andre Berto is athletic, speedy and highly skilled (wrong), Margarito is a slow plodder, you can't pick and choose parts of the full equation to suit you.

You are right about one thing, the use of the word undertone is probably incorrect, as your agenda is by no means hidden.
