According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, Marquez is set to fight Cesar Rene Cuenca who's record is 42-0 (1 KO) on April 14th. That's not a typo. THe guy really only has ONE KO.I can't recall Marquez ever having tuneups before joining TR. WTF

I had to check boxrec to see that the KO total was correct.

Marquez is one of my favourite fighters, I dont want to see him lose.
I want to see him vs rios/morales/bradley more than to see him fight cuenca though.

I'm just really in a f@#$ TR mode right now. I'm just thinking to myself, when is the last time thry put together a great matchup. Marquez used to always find himself in great matchups, particularly most recently during his lightweight reign. Marqurz is the man, but this is poor management.

He said on Golpe A Golpe that he wanted to keep sharp, so he selected someone that obviously has to rely on their boxing skills to carry them through the day. Top skill maintenance, extremely low wear on the body, and the biggest monetary cut possible. Marquez makes some odd selections for stay-busy opponents sometimes, but it makes sense.

Marquez should be fighting someone better to get him another big fight with Pacman or at least fight the winner of Cotto/Mayweather if Cotto does maybe win.

That actually does make alot of sense. He got 42-0 somehow, knockouts or not. When did skill equal highest KO ratio? Haven't seen this guy before so im not saying its going to be Marquez's greatest test but im nog going to assume its gonna be a walk in the park either.
