If we're talking about the Rosario that destroyed Bramble, then Marquez gets stopped within 6.
Marquez is obviously the GREATER fighter, but was he better at lightweight? No.

Rosario would have slaughtered Diaz and Katsidis within 4.

You need to watch alot more of a prime Rosario.

He was EXTREMELY talented, and skilled. And arguably the biggest puncher in the history of 135.

Rosario had faster hands than JMM too. That would be a factor.

The younger Rosario was more impressive from a technical standpoint than he'd go on to become. Like Gomez, he relied more on picking his spots, using footwork and angles to gain the right positioning, etc. Just a more fluid, organised boxer-puncher in his younger days. However, unlike Gomez, he had a sort of stiff rigidity to his style a la Ricardo Lopez. He could work the angles like Gomez, but he lacked that smooth quality to it, at least in the upper-body, which is where the comparison to Lopez comes in. He just wasn't on the level of either as technicians, hence the "poor man's". Pound for pound he hit harder than either, though, no doubt.

You can always tell the posters who don't know much about any fighters outside of those today.

Rosario isnt a HOFmer for nothing.

Let it go bro if a boricua raped you or took your girlfriend that's not reason to go through life with that bitterness. You sound more like a mad girlfriend that was dumped and cant accept it.

Marquez was better at the lower weights. He has gotten more vulnerable and hittable in recent years, especially at 135. He still is a marvelous combination puncher and has a wealth of experience and knowledge, but there is a huge gap between guys like Katsidis/Diaz and El Chapo.

Marquez is also levels above those two guys....him having a FOTY type bout with Diaz and also a fairly rough bout with Katsidis simply shows how he's more vulnerable at this stage in his career.

That would cost him against Rosario.

Why are so many people picking Marquez by KO?

Roasario was able to take a bigass beating from Chavez before he went out and I don't need to even begin to explain why that's relevant

Rosario's foot movement was kind of strange. It was like he had this little hop step when he went forward and back. I can't really explain it. But he was pretty quick on his feet. Much quicker than the plodders who dropped and troubled Marquez, in addition to being more powerful and just a higher caliber of fighter.

That would be key in the fight.

I'd put my money on Chapo.

Rosario's shots were well placed & timed, whereas with Juan Diaz, that was nonstop incessant punching JMM had to dissolve.

Since I think Pac swings faster & hits harder than Rosario, I think JMM gets off the deck 2x in an ebb n flow fight where Rosario is timed, then repeatedly caught. If Camacho could hold up to Chapo's power, I think JMM could as well.

    SD FOTY JMM.

I've noticed it. A lot against Chavez. I think JCC was able to time that little chain hop/step. If, so, JMM does as well, but he doesn't have the power to hurt Chapo. Maybe with accumulation he swells him up.

Result will depend on how much Roided JMM will be in the ring. Let's check with Memo PEDredia....
