Juan Manuel Marquez vs Edwin Valero

I don't know how it turns out but I know I would definitely watch it

Marquez by decision. Valero's style is made to order for Marquez. Like a slower, less footwork version of Pac

 

Marquez is far too skilled for Valero, Juan would get hit early, maybe dropped but he'd get up like always and adjust.
He'd go down to Valero's body and then work his way upstairs, breaking him down and busting him up. I'd get to see more of those ATG combinations so it's win win.

Antonio Demarco had moments and he's a good 4 or 5 levels below Marquez.

 

Marquez would have KO'd that murdering bum.

 

Marquez UD or brutal uppercut stoppage.

Too good, too big a difference in skill level...too good a counter/combination puncher.

Wait for the people who hype up the 'unbeatable Valero who would have eventually knocked out Welterweights if he wasn't a murdering scumbag' to enter the thread.

Not even close. Valero wasn't even close to JMMs level.

Valero is being grossly underestimated in this forum.


27-0 27 KOs is no hypejob. No one has done that vs the type of comp Valero had. Dont bring up Tyrone Brunson or Acelino Freitas cuz their comp was **** compared to Valero's.


The man got the better of a prime Morales in sparring and humiliated DLH while he was sparring with him for Pac. Not to mention that he made Santa Cruz and Antillon look like complete bums.


A prime JMM could perhapds beat Valero but a faded Marquez gets picked apart and stopped late.

 

Valero had something in his power
He may very well have been unproven
but there was really something in his power.

His best fight imho was against Mosquera. That's the best version of Valero that ever fought.


He fought a guy in Mosquera who was rated only behind MAB and EM at the time.


The round in which Valero was dropped Valero came back to severely hurt Mosquera and actually win the round despite the KD which is VERY badass.

 

Valero was too brave to last the distance against someone like Marquez. Great fight though.

 

Valero never beat anyone that would suggest he would even stand a chance against the great Juan Manuel Marquez. In a fantasy world, we could resurrect Valero just so Marquez can get in the ring with him and kill that murdering **** again.
