I give the edge to Marquez. I think he would've forced Morales to take the lead, and IMO Morales isn't as comfortable doing that as he is letting guys come to him.

Super tough question. It would've been easy to say a few years back that the great Erik Morales kills him, but you can't take away anything from JMM's superb 'mexican counterpunching' style...

    Let's make the virtual fight...
If Morales can turn this one into a slugfest, he most definitely wins on points, and I wouldn't rule out a late stoppage. But if JMM can land crisp counters all night and somehow defend Morales' wrath after getting hit, Juan Manuel might pull it off by close UD. Remember 126 is the natural weight of JMM...

Let's say 6 times out of 10 Morales beats Marquez, Juan Manuel takes 3 and there's one draw.

Marquez is just an all around better fighter. Or just watch how JMM handles Pacman and then watch Pac destroy Morales.

I think it will be a chess match, remember Morales can also box if he wanted to... but he is prone to brawling cause that his style, but I think Morales takes this due to his pressure & non stop punching.

Win or loose situation, Eric Morales will be the better man.. He never cried and accept what ever the decision.

I got Marquez in this one; but only because I am more of a Marquez fan ( Ive got nothing to back up each side on this one). It would have been a great fight.

Morales...although I could easily see this being one of those back and forth trilogies similar to Morales' wars with Barerra and Pac.

David Diaz destroys both though...in ONE NIGHT!
