nah. it would just be like a pac-jmm war. Morales would earn rounds through his agression, with flash kd, but jmm bounces back with counter combos.

Either a draw or SD on a 3 epic battle.

 

Morales has been with the best and have beaten them in their prime (pac, barrerra).

Anytime Morales is mentioned without a PBUH I get a little irked.

I'd tell you if the fight ever happened. Absent that... haven't a clue. If I was forced to choose I'd take JMM by decision, I think EM's(PBUH) ballsy style gives JMM a lot to work with given his counterpunching style during his prime. OTOH, maybe EM puts JMM on his ass a few times to help him on the scorecards. Prime MAB I think could hold his own boxing with JMM and would definitely outfight him if it came to that, so I'd go with MAB over JMM.

You COULD argue that both MAB and EM saw their absolute prime at 122, a weight at which JMM never competed.

 

Can you think of a closer fight? God knows who would win this one. Both have skills and heart in abundance.

 

morales..., like someone already said, the killer instict of morales would do the difference, since this would likely to turn into a brawl.

 

He had close fights with them that most felt he won...Do i need to bring up the first Morales-Espadas fight?


Anyway, this is a 50/50 fight for me...DRAW.

 

JMM aint knocking out Morales...You ruined a somehwat decent post with that statement.

 

Morales is a Warrior, which imo if he found himself in a fight he felt he was losing, I believe he'd lay it on the line to try and force a knockout.......that would play right into Marquez' counterpunching style and open up the avenue for Marquez to score a KO.

Unlike Morales, we know Marquez can finish good capable fighters at 126 lbs and above.

 

JMM couldn't even drop Pac with all those flush shots @ 126, and Erik has a much better chin than Manny.

 

erik has ALWAYS avoided JMM.
