juan marquez is proving to be a great fighter,

another well rounded lanky veteran who was very crafty was the great eusebio pedroza.

how would a fight turn out in featherweight?

I like Pedroza in this one on a fairly close decision. I think Marquez could box evenly with Pedroza and maybe has the edge in power. But he wouldn't stop Pedroza and Pedroza would get this one into the trenches and the mugging would commence. I just don't think JMM could keep Pedroza from doing good work in close (legal and illegal work).

I agree inside Pedroza does the mugging and I think he figures out pretty quick he can outdo JMM handily here rather then making it hard for himself in a shootout at range with a guy like Marquez. Even though at his best he could deal with Marquez fighting on the outside if he wanted I feel.

Probably stops him if its over 15.

I think Pedroza not only had the inside advantage in that he was the rougher, dirtier, craftier fighter (as well as more skilled), but I don't see Marquez holding any edges outside either. Pedroza's height, reach, lead right hand, and bolo style punches from all angles would land just as frequently as Marquez's textbook shots, and moreso from close range. He was also a very good mover and defensive fighter from all ranges, another thing that would give Marquez trouble in trying to lead vs a taller, quicker fighter.

    Pedroza by clear Decision.
