If Camacho is so great at 130, why didn't he staty there and be GOAT?

20 years from now, I reckon JMM would be touted as unbeatable at 126, with people making him out to be some special monster just by the fact that he was able to hang with some of the best at 130 and 135.

There is more to winning than just speed.

Mayweather also moved up. Isn't he GOAT?

Camacho moved up for the challenge and the money, as all boxers do. Didn't Pac?

Because the money and big fights were else-where, and his speed and reflexes eventually deteriorated. Obviously.

Why is that? Many fighters from history have had similar abilities.

Who said otherwise? This shows me that you don't know anything about Camacho's style and are once again stuck up Pacquiao's ass, as he's the only fighter you clowns ever watch. Get a clue about boxing outside of Pac before trying to reason with anyone.

marquez has probs w/ fighters who have a combo of speed and power. camacho had great speed and more than decent power @130. he also had good boxing skills. speed+power+skills vs. marquez = KO.

jmm's best weight was at 126. at 130, he already has diminished power, speed and reflexes. that's why i'm not even sure he'll fare well at 135 against the top guys.

PBF isn't GOAT. Is he your GOAT? :huh

The point here is that Camacho is not the monster you all make him out to be at 130. If you list the greatest of 130 lbs ever, I doubt his name will show up at #1. Pac stands a better chance of being rated higher at 130 than him.

If Roy Jones ever fought at 130 even once at some point of his boxing career, I'd bet all of you would say he'd beat all 130 fighters that ever graced the division (envisioning a LHW Jones against the poor 130 lbrs). You get the point?

We're talking in a head to head sense, not in a sense of accomplishments. Camacho was clearly at his best in his early days at 130 and LW.

Who has Camacho beat at 130 who is as good as Pac (whom JMM almost beat)?

How can you say when he hasn't really been tested at 130?

If Hopkins didn't face Jones and Taylor at 160 lbs (i.e. never losing a fight there) and moved up to 175 lbs, I bet you will one of those who can never imagine Hopkins ever losing a fight at 160.

Nobody at 130, but he beat someone at 135 who would've beaten Pac in Rosario, and possibly Ramirez as well. He was pretty much the same fighter in his early days at both weights. Again, this is about head to head ability and styles matchups, get on track.

No, not at all, as I rate a few MW's over Hopkins in head to head terms. I do so based on footage and styles, as I have a pretty good understanding of this concept, something you very clearly don't.

He was at his best in his early days, from 130-135. His biggest wins were at 135 because he faced his biggest names there, but he was just as good at 130, and showed it in his performances.

See, you can only cite his fights at 135 then you simply factor in him being at his best 135 shape, against the poor 130 lbr JMM. Camcaho would only look better by moving down at 130, right? :patsch

So I guess Tyson would have wiped out everybody from 112 up who ever laced the gloves.

I mean if he was a monster at HW, what more in the lower weights, right?

Probably against Limon, though Limon wa a shell of his former self. If you want to see the performance that best showcases a young Camacho, watch his fight at 135 just a few fights later vs Ramirez.

He fought at 130 as well you tool.

From 112 up to below HW? I'd say so, quite easily, yes, given his size advantage. What is your point? You're rambling on like the usual ******* now.

Camacho was just as good at 130 as he was at 135, how often do I need to stress this to you? Yoy guys are so simple. Honestly, just stick to your usual "Pac by KO" posts.

So you pick a weight drained 12 year old Tyson over PBF at 130?
