Supposedly so. That's according to Steve Kim, who also mentioned the fights will take place in Houston on February 28th.

Diaz-Katsidis and Juarez-Barrios had nearly 15,000 in attendance. So I expect a similar turnout for this card with an even better atmosphere.

Can't wait. HBO is really stepping it up next year from the looks of things.

I like Marquez by close decision, and Juarez by KO.

But I thought Marquez has pushed to make the fight anywhere outside of Houston.I heard Las Vegas.
And at what weight the Luevano vs Juarez as Rocky said he won't fight Chris John cuz 126 is hard to make for him?

I think Marquez realizes it's a much bigger fight in Houston where they can pack the house, opposed to fighting in Vegas where the arena would be half empty.

Holyfield still looking good. Lets hope he can pull the upset.

    Unto the topic:

    Marquez UD or late TKO.

Who knows..maybe the fight will be at 130 or a catch weight? That fight isn't a exact done deal by the way.

No. Supposedly, HBO isn't doing any PPVs for the entire first quarter of 09.

Yeah, but this card will be televised by HBO. Just read the Steve Kim article. No way Golden Boy puts this on PPV given the state of the economy and Top Rank doing a PPV the previous week.

I doubt Rocky will fight Luevano with no title.

what does marquez have to go to houston for? for the gate? F diaz marquez is the man and he should not have to go on diaz's turf where he won a card vs campbell while getting obliterated
