Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz - Who wins ?

I think Diaz would give JMM a LOT of counter opportunities. I'm picking JMM by UD or maybe even a late stoppage.

 

No way Marquez does it easy against Diaz.

Juan has underrated defense and skills. People were expecting a war with him and Katsidas but in reality Juan doesnt go to war, he goes to work. He is in essence a boxer, he works off the jab and his work ethic in the ring is second to none.

He is very strong at this weight make no mistake.

Pick em fight for mine, I dont have a problem with Marquez being the favourite.

Diaz is perfect to being countered. He would give Marquez a hell of a fight, but Marquez just has the edge in skill. I think Diaz would be getting hit flush with a lot of straight rights and left hooks. Marquez if he cut Diaz might be able to throw him off his game just like Campbell did.

I'm surprised everyone thinks JMM wins this one. I see this as a real 50/50 fight. Marquez is so technically skilled, quick, and experienced that he could counterpunch Diaz silly. But Diaz has a nice jab as well as youth, size, and workrate on his side. Its a real toss up that could make for a classic. I just hope it happens and if it does it could be the best fight in 2009.

Marquez. Juan Diaz isn't in his league. In fact, Campbell is a more deserving opponent since he beat Diaz soundly.

 

That would be a fun fight because both of them are more boxer then brawlers, and since that's true JMM is the best boxer in the world so you can see where i'm going with this.

 

I like Juan is this fight his workrate is better no counting he is more youger I think he will wear down Marquez with his pressure.

Don't start thinking because Marquez won tonight he's gonna run threw the division I always said if Casamayor wouldn't have fought Marquez he was gonna lose to Diaz and in a rematch with Campbell. Juan will have serious troubles with Nate and Juan Diaz because they fight with a rougher style than Joel. Plus I also think they are better punchers than Joel, Juan Diaz is not a banger but has more pop than Joel plus is younger. Nate is relentless and well seasoned I think Marquez gets beat up by both.
