Poll above and leave your thoughts below.

The fight could happen, it looks like, and it could be a pretty good showdown. JMM showed he is far from done in Pac III. Peterson conquered King Khan.

So, who you got: JMM or Peterson?

Marquez wins this fight, he is better than peterson allthough it wont go easy.
I prefer him to fight morales or bradley though.

    I wouldn't mind seeing JMM-Bradley, but I have a feeling that we will see JMM-Peterson before JMM-Bradley.

Marquez in a war. Both are slow starters, but off the bat, Marquez is going to look to control the distance and counter-punch him at mid-range while controlling the center of the ring; Peterson is a bit vulnerable when he throws. Eventually though, perhaps even early given the magnitude of the fight, Peterson is going to look to smother him and land punches up close. Marquez is probably going to make the tactical decision to lay on the ropes or even just lean back on him in the center to counter-punch in the pocket without expending too much energy. JMM will have some trouble since Peterson is very strong, but I think at the end of the day, he will land the cleaner punches and take less punishment with the much superior defense. It would be great to see him stop him late, which is possible given Peterson's offensive momentum, but right now I lean towards a hard-fought decision win. If Peterson chooses to box the whole time, he'll have success early with his reach and movement, but then JMM will start countering in from out of range; he's very good at fooling his opponents into thinking he's out of reach and baiting counters for him to counter over. I don't think it's something he would stick to over 12.

:good Excellent assessment as usual, Bogotazo.

I think this fight could be a real crowd-pleasing war, for sure.

Wow.. never thought about this fight... I'm taking Peterson.. my mind says Marquez but I feel Peterson would be aggressive wisely and throw off JMM's timing.

Im not sure. Peterson kind of dissapointed in the Cayo fight, even though he got the KO. But if the determined Peterson from the Ortiz And Khan fights shows up he will make it a long night.

But im still not sure because Marquez is Marquez and i shouldve known than to doubt him. Lol

A very intriguing matchup. Marquez will get the UD, even a late round TKO over Peterson, but it'll be a barn burner up until then. I actually think this fight could be a FOTY contender when all is said and done.
