How do you guys see this match up going? Could JMM handle the handspeed and workrate of Taylor using his counter punching ability much like he did against Pac or would Taylor be a different kind of speed demon?
Exciting match up. Would be very close fight IMO.

There'd be nothing close about it.

Taylor would kick Marquez's ass by a wide margin.

If JMM can handle Pac he can handle Taylor. Taylor was all blazing speed but no pop where as Pac was blazing speed & plenty of pop.

Pacquiao was never boxing he was looking for a KO. Taylor would box from the getgo and stack up points.

Problem is though that Taylor had a habit of brawling instead of using his natural talent.

Taylor is an interesting one. On one hand Taylor really loved to let his hands go and slug it out, giving JMM opportunities for his counter attack. On the other hand I can also see Taylor doing a Tim Bradley where he stayed disciplined and boxed circles off JMM without taking too much risks.
I still think JMM could make it competitive for Taylor.

Marquez is one of the best fighters of the last 15 years and a bonafide hall of famer ...and Taylor is the higher level of fighter?

    That's not the debate.
The debates who wins, Taylor was much quicker and would box on his toes and not square up like Pacquiao did.

    Marquez is absurdly overrated IMO.
