fights like this are tough to pick. You just don't know if Marquez is too far past it. If Katsidis comes out and tires to box with him early instead of putting on the pressure Marquez wins either way. If he is able to effectivly pressure Marquez I think he has a shot at the KO.
Marquez. The basic reasons are put very well by Bad Left Hook: Grading the Fighters MARQUEZ KATSIDIS B Punching Power B+ B Hand Speed C B- Defense D+ A Punch Resistance A A+ Heart A+ Both can punch. Katsidis has heavy, thudding power, while Marquez is far more accurate, a brilliant counter-puncher, and feeds on aggression, which Katsidis brings by the truckload. Marquez is plenty faster than Katsidis, too, and defensively, while Marquez is not what he used to be, he's still much better than Katsidis, who doesn't know what the hell this "defense" is, although one time he appeared to try it out, and didn't like the results (the Diaz fight). They both take shots extremely well and while they're no strangers to hitting the deck, they don't stay there easily.
JMM could come in a shot fighter. The weight jumping this late in his career not good. he will pay a price for taking the Mayweather gift payday climbing that high in weight and back down again.
Time waits for no Juan, this might be the fight in which JMM gets "old overnight" NO excuses and Kats would still get plenty of credit but it is what it is!
I have Marquez. Katsidis' come forward style is absolutely perfect for Marquez's excellent counter punching. One thing is for sure, we will find out if Marquez still has what it takes because Katsidis puts on nonstop pressure.
