    Marquez would have kod hamed.

Still...gutted they didn't fight. ...fight might've hit double figure knockdown s

Hamed didn't want it though...how long was Marquez his mandatory for...2 years?

I would lead towards JMM. But one thing I think helps Hamed's case is, when looking at how Barrera beat him, it was boxing smart. I can't say that JMM would replicate something like that. I can see JMM getting pulled in to a more slugfest, which I don't think bodes well for him. Gainer, Johns, Pac...all bothered JMM with speed as well. Hamed has fast hands and reflexes (Sometimes to his disadvantage though)

No! I thought is was because NAZ didn't throw in combinations. You can slip and block one or shots but not 2 or 3 of them. Naz was too economical.I think Naz busted Barrera's nose later in the fight but didn't follow with combos.

Naz can't leave his chin in the air with Marquez. Because Marquez hits a hell lot harder than Barrera. I think NAZ will get hesitant to throw when he get countered like silly by Marquez.

Very possible that would be the case. As is my scenario  I think MAB was just a bit more focused and disciplined than JMM was (Older MAB of course). BTW, meant Norwood, not Gainer. The JMM - Gainer fight was terrible!

Had Berestain accepted the offer to for JMM to fight Hamed in 2000, I'm pretty sure he would of been the one to beat Hamed first and not Barrera.

Manny has better fundamentals than Hamed had and would have toyed with him, no comparison.

Hamed was the dumbest fighter I have ever seen at the championship level. Dumb. He also beat nobody as remotely good as Marquez. He is cannon fodder for a smart, granite chinned counterpuncher like JMM. Easy decision for Juan.

Johnson was 33 and had beaten nobody special before the Hamed fight. Bungu at 122 BARELY beat much smaller Danny Romero leading up to Hamed. Vazquez was 37 and had already been knocked out a few times in his career before Hamed.

Tom Johnson was a world champion. He had defended his title 10/11 times. He beat Manuel Medina Who would latter win the title.
Bungu had reigned for like 5 years so he decided to move up a division.
Hamed is the only fighter to ever stop him.
Vasquez was older and towards the end of his career.
But what you fail to mention is he stopped Rojas who was a pretty big featherweight.
Also with Bungu and Vasquez Naseem just flat out dominated them.
The thing I laugh at is when JMM finally got his shot on HBO he choked vs Norwood.
Then he choked vs Chris John.
And he beat a SHOP worn Barrera who had been through the grinder and everyone thinks he would have beaten a prime Barrera?
And his PED use was a disgrace. It was like he was given a free pass.
