JMM is now The Ring and consensus LW champion of the world, but without alphabet titles. His lineal status comes from the Corrales-Castillo unification (w. Corrales --> Casamayor --> Marquez). Also Corrales and Casamayor had the WBC title, but Casamayor was stripped due to bad (Mexican) politics (he was stripped by Sulaiman so Morales could fight for a world title vs. Top Rank fighter and interim champ David Diaz.)

Nate Campbell's 3 titles came from the big Juan Diaz win. Diaz of course unified the WBA, IBF and WBO titles.

Since Casamayor never lost the WBC title in the ring or even by refusing to face a mandatory, Manny Pacquiao's belt is nothing more than a paper title. Also he's fighting at WW next. The ONLY logical and legitimate fight now at 135 for the weekend's BIG winner Juan Manuel Marquez and the big loser (due to Joan Guzman) Nate Campbell, is a fight between the who true champs.

GBP, DKP: Bring on Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Nate Campbell!

i wish that pac was the one fighting campbell. this would be another showcase fight for jmm. marquez ud but i would not be surprised if he dominates campbell the same way he stopped casa.

It can't be for the Undisputed LW Title without Pac's WBC trinket which is the most prestigious of the alphabelts. :D JMM-Campbell would be for a unified championship at best.

Pac's belt is a paper title. The rightful owner of it is JMM since Casa was stripped by the WBC for no apparent reason.

A figth between the 2 would make the undisputed champ altough Marquez is the man right now

Yeah sure… like Casa deserved that interim WBC belt against Sta. Cruz. The WBC ordered a rematch because of the controversy but he avoided Sta. Cruz and instead opted for another interim championship from a lesser sanctioning body against c-fighter Katsidis...please. All this talk some people are trying to sell about Casa being the lineal Champ at 135 is just pure hogwash. That makes him a worse paper champ than Diaz who at least was once able to KTFO Sta. Cruz.

He was stripped before Santa Cruz of his regular title so that Morales could win it

JMM can build an ATG legacy on these guys for real.

I just hope Pacquiao decides to move back down and produce a trilogy, JMM wouldn't make any mistakes in the third fight:smoke

He was stripped twice actually, first for going after Frietas (which didn't happen) instead of defending against Diaz. 2nd for the reason I cited above which was for avoiding Sta. Cruz. The point was his win against Sta. Cruz was questionable that's why a rematch was ordered. He was a Worse paper champ than Diaz considering it was for a lesser interim alphabelt against a more mediocre opponent.
