Silly,silly,silly!JMM was Hamed's #1 contender for at least 1 1/2 years.Then Hamed finally came in with an offer to fight in a month.In other words,hamed was never serious about a JMM fight.Up until about 2 years ago(and maybe to this day)JMM is still angry about it as he admitted so in a Ring magazine interview.As far as hamed destroying JMM?Manny Pacquiao couldn't,but Hamed would have?Not only are you silly,but you're funny,too.

 

Not only was Marquez NOT afraid of such a fight,but that article only confirms what I wrote in my previous contri,except of course,it was 2 years instead of 1 1/2.

Marquez has perfect counter-punching for Hamed
... but also his chin is soooooooooo weak

He's never been knocked out. It's not granite, but being able to recover well is part of having a solid chin. Hamed might tag him good from time to time, but his defense and neutralizing counter-punching would limit that kind of risky output.

WHAT?!?!?!?! Weak?? No. atsch The man has AMAZING recovery time. Who ever knocked him out? Pacquiao couldn't in two fights, both of which Marquez was down in. Marquez would **** Hamed.

It pisses me off when people judge hamed on that performance, when he was still dedicated and his head was right he had the ability to beat marquez and barrera. He just never maximised his talent and its frustrating!

 

Hamed would have ended up loving Marquez after all the ****ing Marquez would have given him. :yep

Marquez was Hamed's WBO mandatory for 22 months. Hamed avoided Marquez by petitioning the WBO to allow him 3-4 voluntary title defenses against inferior opposition.

Marquez actually flew out to a few of the WBO conventions to beg the WBO to force the mandatory. However, the corrupt ABC soup org would not oblige.

Marquez grew tired of being ducked so he accepted the Norwood fight on HBO. Norwood was not exactly the best opponent to showcase his skills because Norwood was a southpaw stinker. He was so bad I would've picked him to make Barrera look bad also. Nevertheless, many still had Marquez winning that fight.

Sometime later Hamed supposedly offered the fight to Marquez, but Marquez had promised his wife a long vacation for their honeymoon. Therefore, the short notice wasn't going to work for him. Many opine that Hamed was never serious about the bout. He knew Marquez would decline the bout at that point because of his vacation. Therefore, it was the perfect opportunity for him to try to save face and make it look like he wasn't afraid of Marquez.

 

Manny Pacquiao, a hard-hitting buzzsaw, couldn't even take Marquez out in 24 rounds at 126-130. Hamed would've potentially scored a knockdown, but there's no way he knocks out JMM, a fighter who even went the distance against a welterweight Floyd Mayweather Jr. while past his prime.

 

HHamed was a very exciting performer and a dangerous opponent for unleashing powershots from very unusual angles but if MAB was able to get to him and break him with orthodox by the book approach, JMM would do as much if not better. JMM is very underrated specially after his narrow loss to Pac, his wisn over Casamayor and Diaz. I don't know what it is but this guy is elite, like Hamed was but styles make fights.
