Glad somebody else has mentioned the non jumping of the rope, have said it a few times.Knew my bet was safe then.I think he was happy to go the distance.A few men put him down later on,to his credit he got up to win.Only ATG he faced well beat him,the other 2,Morales and Marquez I think stop him.Seem to remember he avoided Marquez, and gave up a title rather than defend against another Mexican.A very good authority told me he trained hard for Barrerra, which explodes another myth.

It's a bad match up for Hamed, it's a horrible matchup for Marquez

JMM is my favourtie active fighter but honestly think Hamed is one guy who would hurt him and he wouldn't recover sufficently (unlike against Pac/Katsidis), it's at 126 remember and Prime Hamed (1995-1997)

HUGE DIFFERENCE is JMM have proven himself over and over again at level where Hamed never did not even once, while i REPEAT Juan proved him self over and over again...
Based on what we have seen from these guys JMM beat him wide UD but you are always so biased about Hamed that its not even funny, never ever beat A-level fighter and i have never ever seen you say Hamed would not beat someone, pretty funny since he never ever beat truly great fighter yet you pick him over every fighter:patsch

It's because it's painfully obvious he was on that level of the likes of PAC/EM/MAB/JMM when at his best and it's because he is a British Muslim and people either loved or hated him due to his over confidence that he is underrated by people like you on here

Who did JMM beat that NAZ would not wipe out during that period?

Would JMM recover from NAZ shots? Be honest, JMM is my fav fighter and i am convinced he would not recover from taking shots from NAZ the way he did against Pac and Katsidis, it's at 126 remember.

Hard to tell at the time.

Marquez do0esnt have the world greatest chin and Hamed hit like a truck.

    Pity we'll never know.

bad style match up, prime for prime similar level fighters, Nas wasnt prime when he fought MAB (MAB would have still won anyway), JMM wins 114-112 (dropped twice). But nas didnt duck JMM, nacho turned down the fight once, afterwards they didnt get another shot.

Theres a Documentary that shows he didnt train properly, Steward has also said he became over reliant on his power alone

Get out of here with your Nacho turned down Hamed crap.
Hamed with the backing of HBO made an offer to JMM meant to be turned down. After Hamed had long avoided Marquez, even going as far to petition the alphabet groups to bypass his mandatory which was Marquez at the time, Marquez then gets offered the Hamed fight for peanuts and on less than a months notice to get ready!

Its well documented and even explained by Emmanuel Steward who took part in training Hamed that Marquez was all wrong for Hamed and everyone in the Hamed camp knew it.

Excuses run rampant when a fighter loses.

Hamed is a B level fighter on his best night, I'd rate him more at the side of C+ level fighter with A level power.
The likes of Juan Manuel Marquez take those types to the woodshed!

There's a reason why Hamed is'nt included in mini-fab four talks, he just was'nt in that class.

All the guys you mentioned are miles ahead of Hamed, they are ATG he is not, while those guys fought each other he run away from the sport after first loss.
And stupid with muslim **** it had nothing to do with my view on him, he probably had a potential to be ATG did he do it no, so dont put him in the same class as fighters that are proven on highest level!!!

The 126 pound JMM was quite a bit different than the JMM we've seen in the last few years. He was great at walking guys into shots, but not as offensive minded. Naseem Hamed would come in guns a blazing and walk into clean counters.

:deal He is A level talent B+ level fighter that absolutely DID NOT prove he is part of A level fighters like (MAB, PAC, JMM, E MORALES, FLOYD just to name a few). Easy to say after defeat he wasnt the same LOL thats because MAB was much better than him...Bute did not look the same when he stepped up to fight Froch i wonder if he was shot like Hamed.

SMH. Just because Barrera beat Hamed one way doesn't mean that's the only way Hamed can be beat. Of course Marquez would've found a way to make Hamed walk into something, Naseem always left himself open after throwing his haymakers and as fast as he was, he was also very predictable.

Bute stepped up on class and fought a longer fighter with boxing skills.

You're right, if you're a big Bute fan you might try to convince yourself that was'nt the same Bute they've become accustomed to seeing.

Newsflash!!!! That was exactly the same Bute, the difference was the class of fighter that was in front of him. :deal

Btw, I think you overrate Hamed.
I'd say he had A level physical talent, C level boxing skill.
When you box against the 2nd tier, such types are made to look like the second coming of Ray Robinson.
When matched against the top tier, you become like a deer staring at headlights.

I'd say JMM is more prone to flash knockdowns because of his desire to draw opponents into position for the counter.

I don't think he has a poor chin,he's not been in serious trouble like most chinny fighters.
But yes,Hamed may be able to put him down but I'm thinking not in real trouble.
