On a serious note, JMM would try and draw the lead from Abril and outer it with his super-duper combo punching. Those long levers would give him something to think about though.

Urgh, horrible fight to watch as a fan. Marquez is a great counter puncher, but doesn't look nearly as good leading off, something that Abril will make him do.
Marquez is, however, very good at drawing leads, and I think Abril may just be outboxed in this one. But I don't say it with any confidence.

As for the fight, Abril is so-so IMO. Marquez by UD.

 

Could be a difficult fight for Marquez but I'd still favour him to win. Agree that it's not a good watch though.

Yes, I'm judging him completely on that fight from years ago and not the other two recent, widely available fights I also referenced.

 

It would be just like the mayweather fight, after all Abril has perfected the shoulder roll
