Who wins this bout if Ricky were to come back (which seems very possible after things he's been saying recently)? Its also very likely he would fight JMM. Let's not go by the condition Hattons in right now (coz he's not training) - lets say he would have enough time to get back into shape, so 1 or 2 years down the line...
In one or two years, JMM should be retired. And if it takes Hatton 2 years to get back to 140, he should retire too.
Marquez has the style to beat him imo, but Hatton may be too strong and enduring for him. Hatton at his best has that god footwork to step around his man, and footwork would be Marquez' weakness. But Chris John has good footwork and is stylistically 'worse' for JMM, and in my book Marquez still beat him. Great fighters overcome stylistic issues, and Marquez is likely a bit better than Hatton. That said, Hatton may be too strong, as afforementioned.
I think this fight would be a waste of time for JMM, there is nothing at stake or meaning to it. I would much rather see JMM fight a title holder at 140.
hmm says . . . IMO the fight can be interesting but can also have the potential for being boring.... I just hope their won't be a lot of clinching.. No doubt JMM will counter all night. Team Pac already exposed Hatton's major flaws that JMM can use to counter.. (cocking arm, lunging, defense not up)....... JMM maybe by KO.
After 8 new threads on the subject, Ricky Hatton is still retired (Contrary to what the masses think AKA idiots).
