Marquez is a very slow starter, if he is able to make it through the first 3 or 4 rounds then I think he would become competitive. I in no way think Marquez can win this fight but I can see alot of counter punch opportunities for him. I just feel Duran is way to powerful for him and I can't see Marquez being able to make a dent.
Marquez would beat up Chavez for example but Duran is too slippery, too strong at the weight and has a different much less predictable style. The great thing about Duran was that he wasn't JUST a "come forward punching bag" that Marquez could unload his wicked combinations on. Duran had great off-rythm upper body movement unlike a Pacquiao or Chavez who Marquez could time and counter
yeah it is true. And then in real life when he lost he made excuses and people bought it. If he won then he was the greatest of all time. Duran gets considerations other fighters do not.. But he is great no doubt. He had a good lightweight reign and beat Leonard in the first fight.
Because Duran is an all time top 10 pound for pound great fighter , Juan doesn't make the top 15 in any division he fought in
