Arum says Marquez and Bradley are two elites who are perfectly evenly matched per the odds and public opinion. He says if that wasn't good enough, the PPV card is "something truly special".

 

Arum is waxing nostalgic about how Cassius Clay was first wanting to be known as Muhammad Ali when Arum was starting out in boxing.

He segues onto how much the world has changed since the late 60's/early 70's, for the better. He says back then Vasyl Lomachenko wouldn't have been able to be here...not because he wasn't born yet, but on account of the Iron Curtain. He says Orlando Cruz would never have been able to publicly out himself as gay in those days. Yadda yadda.

 

Arum introduces Francisco Paco Valcarcel, president of the WBO.

 

Valcarcel nods hello to Lomachenko, who beat his countryman Felix Verdejo in the Olympics. He says he is being matched tough with Jose Ramirez (hinting that he is rooting for Ramirez to avenge Verdejo)

He jokes that Orlando Salido is more famous in Valcarcel's country (Puerto Rico) than at home in Mexico (although he only fought in PR thrice, he twice knocked out JuanMa Lopez to raise his profile there). Valcarcel says that Cruz was an Olympic teammate of Miguel Cotto and Ivan Calderon and is now finally catching up and reaching the heights promised by that start.

 

Arum says the PPV will kick off with Seanie Monaghan vs. Anthony "Caputo" Smith, 10 rounds @ light heavyweight at 9pm EST/6pm Pacific (2am UK)

 

Caputo is on the mic. He says his newborn daughter at hp,e is six weeks old but he is training hard and knows Sean is tough. He says he isn't the fanciest boxer out there but will put on a good show. Humble and not long winded.

 

Anthony's manager says he is well prepared for this opportunity and has been in with some tough opponents in the past to help get him ready although Monaghan is a step up.
