I like David Diaz (was there the night he beat Morales) but JMM should pick him apart. The only equal footing these two fighters share it toughness. Marquez is miles ahead skill-wise.

For the love of God, if he gets ****ed up during Diaz then he wasn't going to be competitive against Pacquiao. He'll do fine, trust me. The risks are minimal and lesser than that of an inactive 38 year old coming in to find the P4P best in the world.

Thanks for that bit of news!

Nothing compared when Pac took up Cotto as prelude to Mayweather.

Good stay active fight for Juan, one has to favour his intelligence and experience...Look for JMM to counter and punish David all the way to a mid-late TKO

Marquez is one of the greats Mexican fighters of all time, but he is "Jack Ass" Stupid to take a interim fight and jeopardize a potential $10-$15 Million payday.

Diaz is a solid guy...But style wise i dont see this as a risky fight... Style wise DIaz doesnt bring anything, that could beat marquez,he is to slow to to have any chance of winning a decision,,Physically hes strong but only an average puncher so there goes the punchers chance, his defense is to flawed for a master counterpuncher like JMM. He will give Marquez some rounds and shake his rust off,but it wont be a taxing fight.. If anything i was hoping Marquez would fight a more speedy southpaw to get ready for Pac,, Marquez aint no choke artist like Zab Judah(who lost to Baldomir before his fight with Floyd)..Only way is if Marquez doesnt train(thats not Marquez).. Marquez isnt no Soto either,, No disrespect towards Soto(good fighter) but Marquez is a class above... Diaz will probably be competetive for a couple rounds, but thats only cause Marquez lets him (he's been doing that in recent years),, Once Marquez gets down to buisness his gonna counterpunch the **** out of Diaz, and use him as a heavy bag.. Diaz is game and has a great chin, he will keep coming, but after a couple good rounds of hanging with Marquez he gets outclassed, at best he might last the distance and lose a wide decision... But my guess is that Marquez stops him around 10 or 11.

he has to hurt paq early. the longer the fight goes, the worse his chances.

this version of paq is a comletely different one that he faced before

This fight isn't happening...Diaz's management apparently "priced him out" of the fight.

    Over on the scene.

Diaz is a slow punching bag. He should fight someone else with speed if he wants to really prepare.
