Marquez is a frustrating figure to me through no fault of his own, because he's fallen into company with the likes of Rodrigo Valdez where their blatant lack of mobility on the front foot and clear struggles against rudimentary/limited mover types get ignored or swept under the carpet because of their other virtues and strong points. It's just hard for me to watch him struggle his arse off against John, Norwood, the almost deceased Casa etc and then pick him to beat a genuinely elite pure boxer/technician, which I've seen loads of people do on here over the years.
I feel like Rose's performance against Harada was even better than Famechon's. Even though Rose didn't stop him, still, it was as beautiful a boxing exhibition as you'll ever see. And that was against a Harada at bantam with a lot more left in the tank.
He’s underrated . A lot of people feel like he was a fighter whose style gave Pacquiao problems. I think he was a great fighter who forced Who helped define his legacy . Marquez is the biggest victory on Pacquiao’s resume. He’s not Pacquiao’s Norton, he’s Pacquiao’s Frazier
Rose was greater than Famechon anyhow, and yeah, it was a greater performance. No shame there though, it's one of the greatest efforts of all time. Harada was battling the scales though by that point and naturally smaller than Rose, who was a huge bantam/natural feather really and physically very strong despite not being a big puncher. It doesn't detract much though.
