I see him as number 1.

Don't really care for the rest. None of those guys can fight at the top level at 38 years old like JMM has been doing, and KO Pacquiao at 147 like that, as well as beating him at least 2 other times. His wins over Barrera and Casamayor seal the deal as well as other good wins like Diaz, John, Salido, Gainer, Katsidis, Norwood, Polo, Juarez, Peden.

If he beats Bradley, that would make him champion in 4 weight classes, from 126-147. Although he has already done it but was despicably robbed. If you count interims, which unfortunately history does count it, then Marquez is already a champion in 4 weight classes.

Also he's been in the top 10 P4P for so long, and the older he got, the higher in the P4P list he climbed. I mean he's been #2-5, for the past what, like 6-7 years? And has been in the top 10 P4P since 2004, barring 2006 where he got robbed against John.

    Top 6.

    Chavez
    Olivares
    Sanchez
    Saldivar
    Canto
    Marquez

and like turbo said, there is absolutley no shame at all at being ranked there.

    Important fights
    1. Salvador Sanchez : Beat greatest Puerto Rican fighter and one of Africa's greatest ever only at 23.
    2. Baby Arizmendi : Beat the great Henry Armstrong by using magnificent boxing and body punching.
    3. Juan Manuel Marquez : Defeated the Fighter of the Decade.
    4. Julio Cesar Chavez : Top 3 lightweight ATG crushed p4p Atg puncher Rosario, dominated Camacho, and in an epic come from behind moment destroyed the bigger, faster, younger Taylor who was one of the best at the time.
    5. Erik Morales : First fight with Barrera was the most brutal of the trilogy with Barrera and instant classic could of gone either way. Then while being past his prime and underdog put his final great performance and defeated the great Pacquiao.

    H2H Mano a Mano
    1. Salvador Sanchez : This man wasn't even in his prime yet defeated ATGs Gomez and Nelson, both by TKOs! Like Ali and Leonard, Sanchez always had that uncanny ability to do whatever to win. Changed his style to the faster, slick American style with Ali-like foot movement, but was a brawler at heart with an iron chin. Excellent counter puncher. Could fight at long, mid, or short range. LaPorte and Nelson who between them faced the likes of Whitaker, Chavez, Pedroza, Gomez, McGuigan, Tszyu, and others admitted Sanchez was their greatest adversary.

    2. Finito Lopez : Displayed some of the greatest textbook boxing ever making it look easy. Without a doubt Nacho Beristein's greatest student. Easy to see where the Marquez bros mimic their style.

    3. Vicente Saldivar : "The Golden Lefty" was a combination of Pacquiao and Lopez. Brutal power with technical brilliance.

    4. Julio Cesar Chavez : Iron chinned assassin with relentless body attack and crushing right hand.

    5. Erik Morales : Born in a boxing gym and started learning boxing by age 4 defeated Barrera, Pacquiao, and even got the better of Mayweather. This legend having nothing left and nothing to prove had no fear whatsoever facing Garcia, Maidana, and rumoured to have had a fight scheduled against Matthysse!!! One of the bravest fighters ever.

P.D. Sorry for the non spanish speakers

Let's not forget that Marquez went to war with a past prime Barrera. Marquez should have While the floor with MAB but one could conceivably have scored that fight for Barrera.

    Chavez Sr.
    Marquez
    Morales
    Barrera
Sanchez ( could be #1 or 2. great start but died early, can't tell how career ended if he had a full one).

    course he is J

but how high would you rank him?

Sanchez died young so we never got to see how long his flame could burn

JCC was of course great, but spent most of his career fighting cans. Then we have the corruption with Meldrick. Juan fought his entire career with the corruption going against him, yet still came away wit 4/5 victories over the current P4P no.1

As for the 1/5.... it says a hell of a lot when Floyd Mayweather would rather pay out $$$$$$ than make weight.
