How do you see him with the added weight? Will he add muscle and slow down? Will he try to stay around the limit for the fight? Or will he pull a Pacquiao?

I hope he keeps his weight fairly low and looks to exploit Mayweather's potential ring rust with quickness. Although Marquez was Pacquiao's peer at lower weights, he can't expect to add weight as gracefully. Mayweather's the younger man, but speed is the 1st to go.

What approach will Marquez take and what approach are you hoping he'll take?

I actually thought he was slower against Diaz. Diaz was winning the fight also by a good margin until Marquez ended him with a beautiful uppercut. Expect the same against Mayweather, only Mayweather will win.

Hmm I can't expect floyd to press the action, most likely he's going to run(like always) working the jab. So he needs to cut off the ring and not rush his punches.

If you have seen the Juan Diaz fight that should give you an idea. I think he looked a tad soft and slower. He doesn't have the genetics to keep the same athleticism as say Pacquiao at the higher weights, this is due to the body types (mesomorphs, endo, ecto).

What weight are these guys fighting at? Sorry, if that questioned has already been answered. I've heard a couple different things.

The version I heard is that the fight will be at 145 lbs. Which is stupid, a couple pounds below the limit line.

Marquez was 140 for his last fight and Mayweather has been up to 150, I think it was 147 for Hatton.

Thanks. In his fight against Diaz, didn't Marquez weigh 142 on fight night? He can fight comfortably at that weight, and while he may have looked a little slower against Diaz, he's still top five pound 4 pound.

Marquez was 140 and Diaz was 139, and he still looked smaller than Diaz and Casamayor.

I agree that he didn't look as quick against against Diaz and that he wouldn't be able to add weight like Pacquiao, but will Marquez's camp come to same conclusion? It seems like a lot of fighters moving up add weight because they can, and it appears to hurt them.
