On paper Floyd is the better fighter because he looks like the more skilled boxer, but you can't say they aren't comparable when Floyd has been criticized much more than the other to for not proving himself against the best consistently. Floyd is great, but to say there is no comparison denies reality.
Anyone else notice that JMM has a lot of problems with boxers? His best moments have come against fighters have came forward like Pac, J.Diaz, and Katsidas. But against boxers JMM cant control the fight. For example, Floyd, John, and Norwoord outboxed him. Mab was outboxing him in the first half before he decided to trade and a shot Casmayor made that fight very close until his age kept up with him in the final rounds.
agree on everything except about pure class... going to pac's country and chasing pac and crying like a baby wanting a rematch aint pure class to me....
:|:|:|:|:|:| And blaming socks, gloves, leg cramps, and every single excuse imaginable is pure class right??
From what I understand, Pacquiao invited Marquez to his birthday party. He accepted, and at the event, challenged him, saying that both Mexicans and Filipinos would want to see another great fight. Then, they fought. Don't see what the big deal is.
This poster was telling the truth. JMM has never lost a fight nor got a single draw, he was just robbed 9 times (3x by Pac:rofl:rofl:rofl)! JMM is the most robbed boxer of all time!:good
He just beat Pac, so by default he has to be high on the list. I have him ahead of Pac. Even if you consider it a close win for Pac, how can you have Pac like 5 spaces ahead of JMM on the p4p list if Pac barely beats him in a split decision? Clearly their skill levels arent that far apart.
Dont get me wrong I'm probably dinamitas #1 fan in here , he's my fav boxer. I just think floyds skill and reflexes are impressive.. I can't imagine Marquez ever beating him not even In their prime at the same weight...
Ah, another thread on Jmm by *******, but you aren't going full ****** this time. I am proud of you, my former *****. To begin with, you do know his losses to Norwood, John, and your beloved Pacman are disputed? Norwood was an undefeated southpaw champion seen as a real threat to Hamed or any other featherweight at the time. Difficult style to beat and aside from that he could punch. Both were were dropped in the fight and late in the fight where both were pretty even Marquez started to dissect Norwood and get the better of him. Vs John that one was difficult to score, but while Jmm outboxed John most of the round John would have spurts where he landed cleanly on Jmm. Marquez was still the clear winner in that one. Home cooking bigtime. Vs Pacman in the first fight Pac got a huge lead dropping Juan on his ass 3 times but Juan made one of the greatest comebacks ever by not only fighting back but outlanding Pacman. There was the judge that made the "error" but it was obvious a draw really was fair. The 2nd fight was where I witnessed the "new" version of Pacman and I think was his best performance vs Juan. When he dropped Juan he actually countered the counterpuncher. Round 8 Marquez outlanded Pacman so badly it could of been a 10-8 round. Another close, but clear win for Marquez. The 3rd one no knockdowns and surprisingly Marquez not Pacman landed the harder cleaner shots. How you explain that after Pacmans shots just dropped Mosley, Cotto, and broke Margos orbital bone? Not only did he land cleaner but he landed more while throwing less. Theres no excuse for letting a 38 yr old doing that to the p4p king. And you still question Dinamitas greatness? Do you know by questioning his greatness your also questioning your idols? He couldnt ko Marquez much less beat him convincingly not surprisingly its only *******s that make up the sorriest excuses to question Juans greatness.
