1. 4-0 over Manny 2. Had the cojones to fight Floyd 3 weight divisions above his natural weight 3. Destroyed and ruined Pacquiao 4. Greatest KO in boxing history 5. Made the Pacweather fight happen 6. Cleaned out the most stacked division in boxing at the time - giving us unbeliavable fights with Diaz, Katsidis and Casamyor 7. Each time he beat manny, he was B side, so had to do it the hard way 8. And this is a biggie - changed from being an almost impossible to beat counterpuncher into a boxer-puncher - to try and land big fights - and in the process giving us some of the most incredible fights of the past decade ---------- I'm sure the haters will come on and refute each and every point i just made, but i hope some JMM fans will come on too and give credit to one of the best fighters we ever had the privelage of watching Viva Marquez
I see you give JMRoidquez every single close rd. Props to you for nuthuggery or hatery.:good 2-2, objectively speaking.thumbsup Pac is 3-1 if your a Pact@rd.atsch 1-3 if your a Roiquez pi$$ drinker.:-( 0-4 if your slurping your nandrolone straight from Roidquez manhose.:hi:
One of my favourite fighters of all time. Can't quite row with the idea that he's 4-0 against Pacquiao but he definitely should be ahead in the series on record. 2-1-1 at the very least, 3-1 maybe the most realistic. Either way, he's definitely been Manny's superior across their brilliant series of fights, for me, albeit Pacquiao's had the greater career overall. Great thing about Marquez has always been that, while he's a technician and a calculated fighter first and foremost, when he gets a man hurt he can switch to become totally ruthless and a bad, bad dude as well. Also the fact that he's not particularly fast, athletic or slick gives him a kind of everyman quality. Just so intelligent in there. A legitimately great fighter in my opinion.
Absolutely fantastic fighter, a certain HoF entry and an all time great. His body of work at super feather and lightweight is sensational. I was so pleased that he finally beat Manny with that huge KO, as I felt he was short changed in previous meetings between the 2. However while the third fight was an outright robbery, the 2nd was a close fight that I thought JMM just nicked and the first fight (scored a draw) I thought Pacquiao won clearly enough. U are a bit too hard on Manny IMO
Great post First fight... Juan nearly died in the first round..... then proceeded to give Manny the worst schooling of his life Second fight.... 50/50. Pac fans gonna call it for Manny, Marquez fans gonna call it for JMM
