Casamayor was the man of the division when JMM moved up, Diaz was a rising star and a real threat before everyone canned him, and Katsidis was no pushover stylistically, especially considering JMM is almost 38. He has arguably faced more adversity than Pacquiao.
3. Nobody gives a **** about Soto. Fact. Morales is shot but there are few contenders left at lightweight and a Mexican co-headliner would make the most money will getting accustomed to 140.
4. Mosley is getting paid what JMM asked for.
5. He is not a welterweight; his loss with the added muscle means little if anything at all.

The counters are impressive also. Along with making someone miss and making them pay, he also often anticipates what shot is coming at him and gets their first with his counter, or punches WITH the opponent at the exact angle at a spot they left themselves open at throwing the punch. The right hands over the bit wide lefts thrown by Casamayor and Diaz are good examples of stifling their offense before it even gets off the ground.
