How does a prime Coggi do against these fighters, also in their prime? Ricky Hatton Kosta Tzysu Oscar De La Hoya Roberto Duran (I'm aware he skipped) Aaron Pryor Alexis Arguello Shane Mosley Have to say, I'm really starting to appreciate Coggi lately.
If Isidro Rodriguez is the ref, he cant lose to any of them...:yikes Nah..but he was a good fighter. I just have a hard time getting over that fight, it boils blood that one, kind of clouds my judgement on the bloke. Pretty awkward approach to his ringcraft..sorta of like Martinez today. Good jab, loopy left that was hard to time like Darchinyan's sometimes and constantly on his toes...closing the distance, then making it again. Probably havent seen enough of him to really have any kind of valid opinion but I struggle to see how he beats those guys. Tszyu is probably one of the least capable H2H but I have a feeling he would relish Coggi's style and it would give him room to do his best work. Alexis probably really wasnt in his prime at 140...a little shopworn by then. But I still think he has the class to get the win. Shane is little to quick of hand...Randell manage to negate the awkwardness with pure speed. I think he has his best chance against Hatton...I would probably actually lean toward Juan in that one.
Wow who thinks of this guy anymore? Two time world champion by way of DQ.:happy He wasnt that good of a fighter.
He was avery good boxer.Put Randall down in there match if memory serves me correct. And beat the hell out of contender Harold Brazier.
He's the guy who beat Randall for the title via a headbutt. He wound up fighting him 3 or four times, I think. I remember it was like an intentional butt on Coggi's part and he still won the fight and took Randalls title.
