Juan Montes is a young Mexican Super Flyweight. He experianced a loss early on, but he seems to have improved and is now looking like a very bright prospect indeed. Here he is fighting the undefeated Salgado, 18-0, and I think this kid shows a lot of class and some brutal knockout power. Tell us what you think, he's early.

He looks alright the ending was impressive, but ill tell you i just seen another Mexican Prospect that looks better at JR Bantam. Ricardonho put on some fights on Miguel Cuadras on the Gen. Forum and this kid is real explosive, if only he had this kid Montes Patience hed be a cant miss.

Thanks Addie:good Ill keep a look out for this kid. but check out Cuadras

I did, I wasn't impressed. He was wobbled in the fight I looked at and he was fighting a stiff.

Well we will see, that was so fun about seeing Barrera and Marquez coming up when they were prospects........Maybe these will be your chance to see great Mexican prospects coming up. But Barrera looked better than both of them put together even at this time in his career. So did Marquez. But we will see. I thought Enrique Sanchez was gonna be a super star but he didnt seem to get any better after 15 fights, i thought he would eventually be on Barreras level.

Of all the fights I've seen of Barrera, a lot of them very early on when he was 16-17 years old, I rarely saw Barrera get hurt. I can't remember it happening once actually. Marco looked better as a 15 year old and both of these guys, but it has to be said, Juan Montes looks very talented indeed. Nice technique with his punches, throws in combination, and he is laying guys out cold on youtube with both hands. It's far to early to tell what will happen, but he has the talent.

I just wasn't impressed with the footage I saw. He gets tagged a lot and he gets wobbled near the ropes. Defensively lacking by the looks of things.

He is explovive fast, hits hard, but needs a lot of sharpening up on his defense.

I also like his wife:yep She is also a silver medalist in the 08 olympics Synchronized swiming.
