Who win this bruising battle sceduled for ten rounds between these two Argentinian brawlers?

Roldan was more awkward but somewhat predictable in his approach due to his limited punch variety, while Rivero put his punches together better and was the better and more active puncher between the two. Both guys would be right in front of one another all night long and its a question of who outwills and lands the more meaningfull punches throughout, and in a battle of wills and leather swapping I`ll go with Rivero to grind out a hard fought decision over ten punishing and very entertaining rounds.

I'd lean towards Rocky as well-he just seemed to be a much tougher mother than Roldan, & looking at their resumes, it does favor Rocky.

Rocky was also much busier, as he would cluster a bunch of unpredictable punches together. This would certainly be a FOY candidate.

When I first saw Rivero on film, Roldan was the first guy I thought of. These two look & are built like long distant relatives.

I just lean towards Roldan by split decision, it would certainly be interesting, indeed fun watching then two brawling in Luna Park for 10 rounds.

I was going to make the crack that two Argentinian fighters in a close bout is a guaranteed draw. But these two are exceptions to prove Argentinian draw rule, as they only have two (combined) on their records, in over 150 fights....

Same here pal, which is what gave me the idea to start this thread. Rivero is an interesting specimen physically, looking at the guy with his slightly pudgy physique you wouldn`t think he could hit as hard as he did or keep up such a busy pace, but he did though. Lotta fun to watch was Rivero, we could use a guy like him today to liven things up a bit in the middleweight division. A fight between Rivero and Eduardo Lausse is another bout I would have loved to see, what a fight that would have been!
