Pacquiao's desire for money apparently outweighs his desire for vengeance. Hopefully his fans remember before they treat everyone to another sermon about how Manny "Money" Pacquiao is a true warrior and just loves to fight.
Who's to say he has'nt???? The problem with dealing with Arum is that he's one to make certain that a certain chunk of the pie goes to himself, so he going to make certain that if the fight does say 1.5 million, that the end result does'nt equate to Marquez walking away with much more than what he intends to pay him guarantee or no guarantee. The way Arum operates, the PPV would have to do over 2 million buys for Marquez to even smell making 20 million. If the fight did 2 million buys, Arum walks away making more than the fighters purses combined. The fight is going to make 1.5 million, what Arum and most promoters would want is for the upside of that to go to their own pockets, so I dont see Arum offering Marquez much of a ppv upside if the fight did well. The only way for Marquez to get a 20 million guarantee from Arum is for Pacquiao to lower the guarantee he would want for fighting Marquez. I'd bet right now Pacquiao wants his guarantee to be in excess of 30 million. 30 million to Pacquiao and only 10 for Marquez we all know is'nt right.
Didn't you see what happened in the last fight? JMM provided one of the greatest, most devestating and most appropriate knockouts in boxing history. He deserves half if not more.
ball on macne's court. fight pac for 8-10m and risk tarnish his perfect ending to their rivalry or keep fighting bums 4-5 more times for the same money. but, vada or no-vada? that's teh question.:good
only way macne going to get 20m is if the fight is held in mexico and mexican government gives him that guarantee.
Marquez is a very clever man. Asking for an phenomenal payday is absolutely the right play here. Because even if Arum counter-offers a lower amount ($12, $11, $10 Million) it still would be a crazy payday for JMM. And it exposes Team Pacquiao too...why? 140lbs - 147lbs is a very deep and talented division. If Arum/Team Pacquiao pays an excessive amount of money just to fight a man for the 5th time and ignore the massive talent within the division, especially since the so-called "cold-war" is over, it should tell you all you need to know about Arum/Team Pacquiao...RIGHT? For the record, Some of us already knew this though.
JMM desrves it . Absolutely. Atleast 50-50. Pac was KTFO laying face first shaking like a leaf. JMM wont get underpaid this time. Pac doesnt want the fight anyway. He is a BUM.
JMM could take less on the front end like 12M and a bigger % in PPV.. Arum would play ball with that !
Juan don't NEED that fight. KTFO6 They (Arum) want another chance they (PAC) should pay for another ass beating.
