None other than Israel Vazquez next summer in Madison Square Garden in what might be next years biggest event, i read in an article that Bob Arum is trying to fix up the biggest Puerto Rican day parade fight card ever, and if all goes to plan he very well might do it, Juanma is now scheduled to fight on the undercard of the De La Hoya/Pacquiao fight, and if sucessful he'll go on to fight the Ring Champion Vazquez, but that fight would just be on the undercard to the biggest anticipated rematch of Cotto/Margarito II, obviously if their February double header goes according to plan and they both come out with wins:deal

I would love to see that fight, when I first read this I was thinking that it should be a main event by itself. But the casual fan probably doesn't know of Vasquez of JML, having them fight on the Cotto Margarito undercard might do it.

That would be spectacular. The co-feature of a very big PPV card is a great place for these super showdowns in the lighter divisions.

I seriously doubt Bob Arum would put Lopez/Vasquez and Margarito/Cotto on the same card. Top Rank has been exploiting the Latin fanbase to such an extreme the last few years... They're definately going to split these events and try and double up on their receipts.

And they would be smart to split it up the cards, but for fans of the lower weight classes I think Lopez vs. Vasquez is the fight we all want to see.

Hope this comes off but that situation almost seems fanciful in this day in age.

Id be suprised if Showtime would let Vasquez get away that easy.

Props for wanting to fight Vasquez this early in your Career.
