There's no doubt in my mind that Gamboa gets his first loss if he ever chooses to step up against a guy like Juanma ... I think with his style - he's tailor made for a fighter like Juanma. Thoughts???
No doubt in my mind. He could easily drop him with a jab due to Gamboa swinging wildly and being off balance.
agreed, but gamboa is one quick and strong dude, so juanma can't be too reckless like he is sometimes.
I disagree. I have said plenty of times that Juanma is a very very strong fighter with huge firepower, but obviously limited. He reminds me a prime Fernando Vargas. The first time he meets a skilled, fast, strong fighter with good movement his limits will be shown. If Gamboa is careful enough with his defence (he has developed a lot), he will beat Juanma. Juanma has never experienced that speed and even Penalosa (who is naturally smaller and a lot weaker than Gamboa) managed to reach his chin several times. Gamboa by late stoppage or clear UD. In case Gamboa does not keep hands up, Juanma by KO.
As I said all along...for someone that spends more time on the canvas than anyone else I've seen..... Juanma will lay him there for the 10 count !!!!!
ONLY IN YOUR DREAMS. That is the most ridiculous statement that I have ever heard! Yuriorkis is way faster, stronger and has a million miles in amateur achievements, something that Lopez will only DREAM OF. Question... Why you are picking on Gamboa and not the real Champions of 126lbs like John, Caballero etc? Is it because Gamboa is the BIGGEST THREAT to Lopez? Gamboa is just WBA interim and not a Champion yet but you are picking Gamboa for this fantasy comparison. PS, for Gamboa's haters who all they see is his flash ONE HAND IN THE FLOOR KNOCKDOWS, you all don't know crap about boxing. His flash knockdowns have been punches just touching his chin as he is always flying in the ring and not like a real nasty punch that ends him in the floor LAYING DOWN. Keep hating on Gamboa for being Cuban and an Olympic Gold Medalist, very soon he will punish everyone in the 126lbs range including JML. As if Gamboa never faced fighters like Lopez back in Cuba! What a joke!!!:bart
1. This is the pros, whatever he did in the amateurs is irrelevant. 2. Gamboa is not the biggest threat to JML that's why JML is going to make him look ordinary 3. Nobody is hating on Gamboa and needless to say for him being Cuban so leave the BS outta here 4. No he will not punish everybody at 126 because JML will mop the canvas with him. not because Gamboa is not good, because he is, but because Gamboa's style is tailor made for JML.
Mr. Juanito boxing, 1. This is the pros, whatever he did in the amateurs is irrelevant. WRONG!!! The amateurs is the solid foundation my friend and Gamboa has miles ahead of Lopez!!! 2. Gamboa is not the biggest threat to JML that's why JML is going to make him look ordinary. REALLY!!! Then why all the talk about him then? 3. Nobody is hating on Gamboa and needless to say for him being Cuban so leave the BS outta here. Well, that's why you say but look at yourself really deep down... 4. No he will not punish everybody at 126 because JML will mop the canvas with him. not because Gamboa is not good, because he is, but because Gamboa's style is tailor made for JML. IT'S TOTALLY THE OPPOSITE!!! LOPEZ'S STYLE IS PERFECTLY MADE FOR GAMBOA, HE IS EASY TO HIT, IS SLOW AND A TYPICAL SOUTHPAW. GAMBOA WILL DEFEAT YOUR BOY IN LESS THAN 3, WHAT A JOKE!!! MARK MY WORDS...:bart
Gamboa is super talented though a bit technically challenged, Gamboa would give Juanma his share of fits due to his speed and athleticism. With that said Juanma is precise well educated and strong as an ox. Juanma would find his target cut off the ring and possibly stop Gamboa.
