coz he's in a hurry to find a replacement to the retiring pacman superstar. juanma seems to be the leading candidate, he's a big guy in the lower classes and looks like he would manage to move up several weight classes more. he packs a punch, stays busy in the ring, and probably has a solid chin. all roads lead to juanma and gamboa will be his stepping stone to superstardom

People seem to forget that Gamboa is a natural 135lb. fighter. The kid is a tank @ 126.

Anyone else think these "So and So KO Gamboa" threads are ridiculously trite?

to of my favourites, and both have a chance of beating the other. gamboa has it in him to fight the perfect fight and not get touched, he just needs refining, however jml is so strong and determined he can just blow any of his opponents away. this ones close to call but i would pick gamboa for his speed and athletism.

Gamboa is getting knocked down by bums. Lopez hasn't even been buzzed by tougher competition. JaunMa in a Thriller.

Don't get me wrong. Gamboa is strong and fast and I respect him. But he's not ready yet. This is an even fight next year unless a bum shatters Gamboa's glass jaw.

I've seen Gamboa he seems kinda natural for the weight class(126). Strong no doubt. but not big.

I love how people judge a fighter based on their previous fight...Look at Mosley for ****s sake, he lost to Cotto and went right back and TKO'ed the seemingly unstoppable Margarito. Wasn't Mosley a 3-1 underdog against AM?

I've noticed it's mostly noobs screaming out JuanMa looked bad in his last fight therefore his stock went down and will lose to Gamboa. By that logic, Gamboa is a piece of **** bum since he's been getting knocked down by bums :rofl Some of you guys are incredible...

the **** were you watching? JuanMa broke down and stopped a very good fighter. Lontchi is better than any fighter Gamboa has ever faced.

I am Puerto Rican, Do you see me mad??? I am going to say this again: I think Gamboa is going to get KO before Juanma gets a chance to fight him. As soon as he step up in class a little bit he will get KO. Already a few "taxi drivers" have made him kiss the canvas.
