    Hell No

So called boxing experts need to assess him better, Gamboa would pose different problems for Lopez. I think it would be the other way around.

Im so confident that you can bump my post if this fight ever gets made.

Lopez is good but against Lontchi I saw some things that Gamboa could definitely capitalise on.

I think you are a good poster but I have to disagree with you here man.

Gamboa for a prospect has fought better level of cans than most prospects. Those guys have had decent records and not loosing records, some credible opponents who Gamboa dealt with due to his athletic advantages. He can get away with alot now but if he fights someone like Lopez I think he would pose a whole new problem for Lopez because of his speed and his movement. Do not sleep on Gamboa and I can bet you that all the people predicting Lopez to KO Gamboa would jump the bandwagon if Lopez was the one who got KO'ed, it makes me laugh.

Gamboa to win or even stop Lopez

Lopez hasn't really fought anyone who was even remotely on his level, forget names here, once he fights someone who can do to him what he has been doing to other fighters then we will see just how tough he is.

Just look at Ortiz, he got his ass handed back to him and then quit when he met his Daddy in the ring.

He needs to fight a beast and someone who has speed with power. He has not fought any bangers yet and please dont tell me about Ponce De Leon, that guy throws punches like a ***gott

Gamboa's knockdowns were all off balance knockdowns and one was even from an elbow so I dont count those as anything to go by because he has got back up and kicked the **** out of every opponent who has knocked him down.

He has been in with some very good opponents who had winning records so I dont share your sentiments for taxi drivers. They were good competition to bring him on

I was watching the Lopez- Lontchi fight Saturday night. I sat on my couch in my room and watched it on my TV. Why do you ask?

Gamboa by guillotine decapitation of Juanma. :good

There shouldn't be a doubt in anyones mind about this outcome in my opinion. Gam is talented but has far too many flaws with his "pro" style. He has a lot of work to do.

I agree I dont think Lopez will figure once he meets someone who can actually bring the pain to him. Just because he is dominating guys who are physically not able to handle him once he meets someone who is much faster than him and with power he will find out. He will get hit more times than he has ever been hit before. If the boxing game was based on the most skillful guy winning then Froch would not of knocked out Taylor. Alot of fights are a mix of things and I think even with Gamboa's wreckless ness he will deal with Lopez

    Gamboa by stoppage or points

Nah not you... I saw a few intelligent posts by you yesterday. Now, you just lost it this with this ridiculous post you just wrote. The only people that could possibly beat Gamboa or Juanma is each other. If you don't think so, you have no clue... Of course, other big fighters have chances, boxing is still boxing at the end of the day, but their chances are slim.

Now you have to agree on this... Gamboa has faced nobodies but still has more quality fights than Juanma. Only De Leon and Penalosa were better than Gamboa's last 6 fights but Gamboa has more quality fights quantity wise.

That's taking it a little bit far, IMO. Penalosa and PDL are certainly better than anyone Gamboa has faced, but Lontchi hasn't fought anyone and has a recent draw against a gatekeeper. The guy Gamboa dominated in his last fight holds a win over Celestino Caballero and a draw against Chris John. IMO, Lontchi is no better than Ramirez or Jimenez.

You see I have a very difficult time calling Gamboa a prospect. Yes, his professional resume is short. But this guy has A LOT of ring time in the body. I MEAN A LOT!!!! I would expect A LOT MORE for a guy with that kind of experience. Juanma??? Forget Juanma!! This guy has more ring time than Cotto.

If you think Gamboa is a style tailor made for Juanma, you gotta get a better education in boxing.

/////just some evidence to show why I don't believe much in Gamboa. I know is the amateurs and its different. But you can see a pattern here.
    # 2000 Light flyweight champion, defeating Yan Barthelemy 19-9 in final
    # 2001 silver medalist at Light flyweight, losing in final to Yan Barthelemy 7-2 in final
    # 2002 silver medalist at Light flyweight, losing in final to Yan Barthelemy 13-5 in final
Do you see how he defeated Barthelemy the first time by 10 points. But then, when Barthelemy got better, he beat him twice. That tells me he stayed behind and didn't improved. Its also interesting that Barthelemy and Juanma are both lighter but taller than Gamboa.

Oh yes! No doubt it will be a good fight. I think if Arum get his way, we should see this aroud summer or fall 2010. Arum wants more at 122. Gamboa its supposed to fight that night too. Fight mght be @ MSQ. Then the winner of Concepcion/Luevano. (which I think will be a hard fight ). Then it will depend on what happen between Izzy and Rafa. They are planning to fight againg @ 126lbs.

What bothers me is those flash KDs. But I like Gamboa more and would like him to win. I like both but like Gamboa's style more.
