Another pick'em fight but I'll pick Vasquez based on ring experience and heart. The guy is a technician . . . he studies his opponents well and execute perfect counters.

Man, I'm a big fan of both fighters.... I don't want to see either of them lose ...lol I'd pick Vasquez for right now.

This is going to be a great fight. Fitz is right, I think the past wars might catch up to Vasquez and the youth and determination of Juanma might edge Vasquez. A torch could be past after this fight. Yes, I would like to see Juanma in one more top ten fight before taking on Vasquez.

Question, since you a big fan lil tyson, you must like speedy fighters. What do you honestly think of Berto's speed and then what do you think of his timing and accuracy?

berto might be the fastest welterweight right now. he looks faster than mosley, paul williams, or cotto. looks real accurate too with pretty good timing, but hes also been facing guys outside the top 15-20. what do you think about berto?

even if this was marquez you were talking about, what makes you think vasquez stands a chance and takes a TKO win against juan manuel marquez?

ok i for one like juanma and he is getting pretty good but seriously we haven't seen juanma against elite level competition(unless you count DPDL as elite) but certainly he is world class but i think that something like this is too early. I like the idea of this fight but i would have want him going against marquez first rather than vasquez.

I give huge props to juanma knocking de leon out in just 1 round, thats really something...if this fight gets made however i would still pick vasquez by KO. Hard to choose as i like them both:yep

don't underestimate vasquez's punch resistance and hardiness. he's been knockdowned before by big punchers but he can recover pretty good. juanma's lack of experience relative to vasquez will be his death. izzy had experienced terror first-hand and did not blink. juanma would be taken by izzy to deep waters where he's never been before and if his heart and mind isn't prepared for the terror izzy would unravel before him, he'd most likely drown.

Meldrick Taylor speed, but I thought he missed alot in round four and five of Saturday's fight. I could only catch those two rounds. The majority of posts say he is very accurate and his timing is good. Either Rodriguez's whiskers are **** or Berto hits that hard. I go with the first. How you throw a overhand right moving forward and immediately throw a uppercut with the same hand moving backwards to drop Rodriguez is unheard of. The guy kept smiling each time he got dropped. I think he is still a prospect with a belt. Hopefully he will fight someone like Collazo to see where he really stands. I like him, but he would not beat guys like Cotto, Marg, Williams, and even Zab and Mosley.
