"I think speed is the factor that could define this fight. Cotto has to get on him early and hit the arms, shoulders, and even the legs, everywhere he can to dominate him. I would say to not fight so clean if necessary. Zab and Mosley were able to pressure Cotto with some success, but the reality is that cotto is tight on this one. In the pass I've saw Miguel gassing out as the rounds pass. On the first half of the fight he shows good stamina but later he hasn't the same energy. He needs to be ready for 15 rounds."

    -----------------------------------

I've thinking about this a lot, and I couldn't agree more.

In the Zab Judah fight, judah landed some clean shots and was bothering cotto, then came the low blow and it helped Cotto a lot making Judah loose his rhythm and recovering from the shots.

I wouldn't be bothered at all if Cotto does this intentionally if he needs to. If I were his trainer I would talk to him about this.

I don't think Cotto would risk a deduction on anything blatant like a direct low blow, but digging your head into their chest or pressing with the forearm or hitting just above the hip bone are a part of the game.

I think he would. He has. That **** he pulled on Judah to survive was as blatant as it gets.

Everybody paints that scenario with the sequence of events that says "Cotto got hurt by Judah, held on, then hit him in the nuts." By the time Cotto landed the low blow, he had already recovered for a solid minute in the round and was coming forward. I don't think at this point in his career, Cotto would risk it against Floyd.

I agree that Cotto needs to fight a little dirty, the odd stray low shot, a hit or two behind the head.

Floyd will be expecting it. Hell Mayweather ain't no choir boy

Nothing wrong with dirty fighting. As long as you don't get caught
