Never bought into the JML hype. He was a good young fighter but nothing about him screamed greatness.

What made this thread so funny is just the arrogance in which it's presented.

i'm disappointed how folk knock the guy after one defeat,(albeit a bad one)when many were bigging him up not too long ago.i'm of the opinion though that the loss to saledo was just a blip, and that juanma can come back a better fighter and go on to dominate the division, and possibly at a higher weight in the next year or two...

Don't like the guy that much. And divorce or no divorce, his chin is VERY SUSPECT! That, you have to admit.

I thought Salido's style (technique) was much more pleasing to watch.

Plus, I don't like his under bite.:!:

His lack of defense will be his undoing. If he starts to box more, he can use his power smartly and stop getting hit so much. Salido was hitting him with right hands all night long.

JuanMa was taken by Salido big time. In the post-fight interview admitted he knew and was getting hurt by that big wild looping right hand and still couldn't adjust or avoid it out of the defensive mode. The question about focus and the divorce is just a blindfold, the guy is a very good offensive fighter, balance, pop and snap in punching, accuracy and speed, now he is not an elite allround fighter, no way.
