man has no defense, he makes for fun fights though since you know he'll be on the canvas at least once.

all this bs about juanma's defence is just that.bs.look,if you step into a shower, you're gonna get wet.similarly,if you step into a boxing ring, sooner or later, you're gonna get tagged.most boxers taste the canvas at some point during their career-don't make them 'chinny' or 'poor defence.'it's the nature of the game.ali got hit plenty, and got decked too-but he's still revered as a demi god.so juanma had a bad day at the office against saledo-big deal, get over it.he can-and will-come back from this defeat to shove the critics words back down their throats, and dominate this division for a good few years yet, believe me.one defeat does not a bad fighter make, assholes.

How do you explain Gamboa's frequent visits to the canvas?

Can't wait to see Lopez starch Gamboa !!!

Good to find someone who spots the same things I spot. First off, Juanma is a true southpaw (he writes left-handed and throws a baseball left handed most likely he also jerks off with his left, which is the ultimate test for handedness) not one of these converted pretenders like ortiz or urango.

Yet for some odd reason, I don't like the way he shoots his left nor the way he generally employs what should be his power hand. Watch Juanma throw left hands. You will see some ugly uppercuts and wide swings that leave him very open while causing relatively little damage to his opponent.

His main weapon, and it is a beauty no doubt, it the right hook. But strangely again he lacks a good right jab which he should have seeing as though his hook is so strong.

If Juanma had a sharp stiff right jab and a dependable straight left he would be an amazing fighter that would be a nightmare for anyone. Funny thing it, I think a good trainer could teach him to develop these weapons which would really increase his game by a lot.

Mind you, Im not saying his left is completely useless. He evidently has power in it. He severely staggered Rafa with it. i'm just saying that he needs to improve it much much more.
