Looks like it will be Lopez vs. Penalosa on April 25. One more fight to look forward to this year. So, who's your pick?

I'm going with Juanma by late stoppage. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight goes to the scorecard though. Penalosa has excellent defense and a solid chin. He may be getting up in age but I think he still has a few good fights left.

here's my honest take and i'm a big penalosa fan. penalosa was never stopped before and has a tough chin and a very good defense. he uses his arms very well and blocks his face and body with it. he is still very good during his lat fight against vorapin and still is fast and has sharp reflex when needed to be. i want to see a good fight and would hope that penalosa take the fight to the later rounds but honestly juanma is too big and strong for a little man like penalosa. skillwise, penalosa has what it takes to bring juanma a good fight but he could be biting more than he can chew this time. he is going-up in weight again to fight at 122 a possible star in the future in JML. even at 122, juanma looks bigger and could easily move-up at 126 or even 130.

i wanted penalosa to fight arce or darchinyan which i feel is a good match-up for him but not lopez. i hope i'm wrong and penalosa would come-up again with another performance of a lifetime. my prediction, JML via TKO or KO.

This is an excellent fight! Compared to Juanma`s last fight, this would determine if he is for real! It may also prove his downfall.

Juanma is one of my favs since he came into the pros...got power speed and ringmanship beyond his years ...ad to that he is a slick southpaw and that spells trouble for all opponents.....eventhough I would like him to get tested before a showdown with Vazquez...Panalosa is not that guiy....so JML by very early KO

Nobody gave Juanma a ret ass chance when he fought PDL, hyet the first time Juanma connected solidly...it was over...and I mean over...like Tyson use to say ..everyone has a plan until they get hit....that statement was put to the test wih PDL....LOL!!!

What worries me is that fiasco over Ponce de Leon's original claim of personal threat to his life unless he gives in the fight!!! Though there was a later retraction, the smoke hasn't been cleared to great satisfaction.

Even a false premise of same can greatly affect Penalosa's performance...

That was Sergio Medina, not Ponce De Leon.

Lopez should stop the much smaller Penalosa.

It's not gonna be a first round ko but it will end by stoppage for Juanma
