Although I too think Gamboa is a rare talent and poses a significant threat to any fighter in his division I find it puzzling how some people say he is "on a different level" or consider him a world beater when he has yet to fight a world class fighter. I mean are you basing that on his wins over Whyber Garcia and Rogers Mtagwa? Yea Mtagwa pushed Lopez in a lopsided loss, but other than that what makes that such a great win. I think when they fight it is sure to be explosive and entertaining, but please let Gamboa beat someone meaningful before you start considering him an a class above Lopez.

You would have to favour Gamboa over Lopez, however its certainly not a forgone conclusion, Gamboa is extremely quick but he is also very naive, that is a receipe for disaster when you have speed and think you can take all the chances in the world.

Roy Jones (prime)was extremely quick and unorthodox but Roy Jones had a high Boxing IQ so he did not get nailed against the better fighters, Gamboa has shown he lacks the know how of when and when not to take those kinda risks with his superior speed.
