That interpreter sucks balls. Lopez didnt say that the referee had a gambling problem, he said that he was gambler. There's a difference between having a gambling problem and gambling. He also said that Salido hits harder than anyone he's ever faced. He should prolly just get a warning.
Yea there was quite a gap. He called the referee and his son "betters", or gamblers, but he pretty much implied it anyway. I'd have to watch it again. Some of these interpreters **** me off though.
Not half as bad as the HBO translator. **** im listening to the fighters talk spanish and the translator literally says something totally different.
Whatever he actually said that was one of the funniest interviews I've ever seen. I honestly don't get what the big deal is all about here guys. The dudes got too much balls for his own good. Why would you expect him to act any different in an interview.
The interpreter was holding back, trying to be politically correct. Even though Lopez is cocky as hell, I give him a pass on this. He just went through a war, was out on his feet, but never gave up. Even though Jim Grey gave him an opportunity to retract his statements, the beating he took knocked the sense out of him for a moment. The judges on the other hand have no excuse.
The interpreter was trying to help Juanma a bit. The dude was embarrassed to translate that. Anyway, you are worse than the interpreter: nowhere in the interview did Juanma state Salido hits harder than anyone he's faced. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdIzUb-PFeo[/ame]
still a classy crowd. that kind of stoppage can ignite a riot just like in argentina. classy puertoricans.
even if he said it like that he is still implying the ref ended it for gambling reasons. i give him a pass because he realy got a beating and prolly had no clue what was going on
This translator is actually pretty good. He had an interview in nytimes or cnn within the past year or two. For whoever google translated that, that's a tough thing to do and I wouldn't bet google would get more than half of it accurate.
LOL!! Yep, during the interview Lopez never said Salido hit harder than anyone he's faced. JML did say that Salido told him that he was a very strong fighter. This happened just seconds before he (JML) was to be interviewed.
