According to El Nuevo Dia, Juanma responded to Marquez by saying: "He is crazy, he is a sore loser. I never thought a future Hall of Famer like Marquez would come up with such a lame excuse. I wasn't dirty, I was trying to protect myself from a headbutt."

**** happens. The man on the losing end almost always has something to say, an excuse. Sometimes the excuse is valid but the more important thing is Karate Hamster would never fight dirty or complain about dirty fighting.

Juanma is absolutely right. He is a sore loser of the highest order. That's all there is to it. Shoulder injury or not, you lost *****.

I'm saddened by Rafas comments and even more saddened by those supporting it. It hurts being a fan of rafa and knowing he feels this way, rafa probably won at the most 2 rounds where he shook up juanma but even then juanma begged for more. It was an excellent fight but the ring vet was getting mowed down and would have been stopped within the next two rnds. I hope his shoulder heals, I've been living with hairline fractures in my foot for several years and they tend to flair up after I play ball for a couple hours....it can be uncomfortable

Juanma won and there should be no excuses aside from the shoulder injury, but the pushing down of Rafa's head was quite excessive! All of us watching the fight were commenting on it.

Poor form by Marquez, he needs to take the high road, use any potential grievances to come back stronger.

What I always say is, if the ref is letting the opponent get away with it, why wouldn't he let you get away with it? therefore, you to can use the referees leniency to your advantage, its not cheating, its down to how the referees implements the rules, its his officiating.

im a fan of rafa but the boys a sore loser - remember the hissy fit he took after the third vasquez fight, you win some you lose some, youve been in some great wars and took a couple of defeats of top opponents - just accept it

I don't like hearing a bunch of excuses from the fighter that came up short after a fight. The hairline fracture is legit but things like that happen in a boxing match. If Rafa already had an injury prior to the fight, he took that risk going in their not being 100%. The head pushing was excessive and Weeks did pick a helluva time to deduct the point.

I think Rafa is being more vocal in calling JuanMa a dirty fighter just to try and get that rematch. Good luck with that Rafa.
