A rematch is being between Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez (30-0, 27KOs) and Rafael Marquez (39-6, 35KOs) is being considered for the month of August. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum told Carlos Gonzalez that he reached an agreement with Marquez's promoter, Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, to do an August rematch if both fighters are successful in their upcoming commitments...............WAR JUANMA, 5TH RND DESTRUCTION,THIS TIME AROUND.......EASY VICTORY!!!:bbb

Good! Manny can bomb out a legend for a good payday. Marquez can do the same. Manny can then close that chapter and then move on to getting his ass handed to him by Mayweather. In the mean time Mayweather can have the tune-up fight he'll undoubtably need....Timothy bradley or andre berto sounds like a good names you could sell a fight with....Alverez would sell huge numbers but the kid ain't ready.

If Marquez fixed his shoulder injury, doesn't look like a shot fighter, and Lopez still has the same flaws, then Marquez may have the shot we all thought he did the first time. If his stamina and reflexes aren't gone, he can still hurt Lopez. He was relying on unseen left hooks to hurt Lopez, and with a right hand he'll have many more options.

I guess a Lopez - Gamboa fight won't be happening for a while...

Juanma is in his prime, Marquez is on the down side. I don't really see a point for a rematch, Juanma's gonna take him out again.

Thats not 100% sure, Juanma would like to have a home crowd since Marquez had his in the first fight. But Juanma said he is even willing to fight him in Mexico.

I don't know if you guys remember the fight but I saw JML as the one who was actually hur in that fight. Rafa never was buzzed. We all saw how he was very hesitant with the right hand. I think with a healthy rigt hand Rafa takes him out.

even with the size advantage JML could not hur him. It was the diff in skill that evened up that fight.
it will be a great fight again
