JML has faced tougher opposition and his resume is better than Gamboa's, so no Gamboa wouldnt be higher than JML.

Dont get me wrong, I like Gamboa and agree with you that he is getting better everyday, but to say that his leaky defense hasnt gotten him in trouble is pure ignorance. Look at his opposition and he has been KD already multiple times. He needs to get those hands up as much as JML needs to quit fixing his trousers during fights. And please dont even bring up the amateurs.

    Luevano clear
    De Leon easy blow out
    Mtagwa shaky contoversial win
Penalosa clear win, corner stoppage, a few rocky moments

It is Ok to have a few losses or close wins if you got a stellar record and consistent top level wins, but this guy doesn't have any of that yet.

I can't put him too high pound for pound yet. If he takes out Concepcion and then Gamboa decisively you have got to shoot him up the list though.

Personally i dont think he belongs in the top 10 right now... Top 10 p4p fighter in the whole world?

He would make my list from 13-20 or so, somewhere in there.

My friend, are you serious? Gamboa has defeated Marcos Ramirez ( 25-0 ) and Jonathan Barros ( 28-0 ). How can you say that his best win is Mtagwa? That's pure ignorance, pure ignorance...

In my top 15 P4P, I haven't even considered him yet. I don't think he should be sniffing any P4P lists.

Undefeated two-division champion who didn't pick up either of his titles from a vacant belt. I think he deserves consideration more than many. Not for a high spot but for the 8, 9, 10 spots.

I personally have never heard of those 2, and their boxrec stats dont show them to be great names on Gamboa's resume. Lopez's wins over Ponce de Leon and Luevano trump anything on Gamboa has done.

I put him there because of his record which is better than Gamboa's currently. He beat a strong champion in Luevano, has fought Penalosa, and others. He is also at least a two division champ. He wins impressively, and is undefeated.

Wow two bums Mtagwa is had fought and beat better oposition. Oquendo, De Leon, Penalosa, Lontchi (former olimpian),Luevano and now Concepcion are all better that anyone that Gamboa had fought by far.
